Our Class Code of Conduct
Together as a class, we came up with the following rules that we need to follow to be a Ross Street Super Star in our classroom:
1. We will respect ourselves, others and our environment.
2. We will come to school prepared and ready to do our best.
3. We will keep a safe environment for learning.
4. We will take responsibility for our behavior and accept the consequences for our actions.
This year we have a school wide program for behavior as well as a learning component.

Each month, Ross Street has a school-wide end of the month party. Some parties may include a movie, extra recess, relay games, and a dance party with a DJ. In order to be allowed to go to the end of the month Rocky Party, students will have to accumulate a certain about of Rocky Raccoon tokens (this usually varies month-to-month), as well as end the month on a blue or green card. Students can gain Rocky tokens for good behavior in the class, at specials, recess, lunch, hallways, etc. I look forward to having each and every member of our class going to the party each month.
BINGO BOARD
Our class has a bingo board with over 100 spaces for children to put their names on. Children can get their names added to the Bingo Board by excellent behavior in and out of the classroom, being chosen for our Student-of-the-Day, being Student-of-the-Week, excellent test grades, etc. Once the board is filled, we will have a drawing where I will call 5 or more spaces off of the Bingo Board. If your child's name is picked, he/she will have a choice of picking from a variety of coupons including: change your seat for the day, write in a pen all day long, Homework Pass, bring a stuffed animal to school for the day, teach the class something and more!
HOMEWORK CHART
Each day your child has his/her homework completed, they will fill out a space on their homework chart. When they have all of the spaces of their chart filled in they bring their chart to me and earn a coupon of their choice or pick a prize out of the prize box.
MRS. POTATO HEAD
Everyday the students will have a chance to earn a class point by completely putting together Mrs. Potato Head by 3:00 p.m. She can get put together slowly throughout the day by exceptional behavior by the students in our classroom and other areas as well. Everytime I notice the class doing something extraordinary (being extremely quiet during a lesson, sharing/taking turns, being respectful, etc.) I will call one student to go up to the bin, take a piece of Mrs. Potato Head, and put it on her. Once she is completed, I will add a class point. By Friday, if we have a total of 3 or more class points, the class will earn a Friday reward. This may be a treat from myself, a special activity, a movie, game, etc.
CLASS COMPLIMENTS
Everytime we are out of the classroom and another teacher, staff member or parent compliments the class, we will fill in one of the boxes on our CLASS COMPLIMENTS chart in the front of the classroom. I will call a child up to pick a stick from our CLASS COMPLIMENTS popsicle stick box, and whatever number they pick they will fill in that square on the Class Compliments Hundreds Chart. Once 10 boxes in a row are filled in, we will earn a class party :)
